It’s no secret that much like the housing market when it comes to home inventory, rentals are just as hard to come by. The wait lists for an opening at an apartment complex are nearly 6 months and counting. When it comes to an already leased property, good luck waiting until that property is unoccupied to view the inside. By the time you do, you will be too far down the list to even be considered. Many applicants are forced to submit dozens of costly applications, sites unseen, and a lot of times don’t get their money back if they aren’t the selected tenant. And, the real kicker in all of this is the number of scams you’ll encounter through the whole process. Who can you even trust?

ALREADY ON THE HOOK

On the flipside, if you were already renting, it’s probably just a matter of time before that rent is going to soar and you find your own boat sinking as you scramble to find new shelter. That is, if the landlord hasn’t already decided to cash out on the equity in that property and put it up for sale. If only it stopped there, but instead, homeowners and renters alike are facing increased utility rates in some areas, as well as inflated day-to-day living expenses like groceries and fuel.

IN THE SAME BOAT

I’m right there with you and completely understand the struggle we’re all facing right now; some more than others. Between rising costs and the perpetual hardships that ensued as a result of the pandemic, those of us that were barely treading water before are now drowning in the wave of expenses crashing from all directions.

JUST KEEP SWIMMING

We know the market, both homes and rentals, are in a constant state of competition right now. It’s easy to put forth all of that effort into applying for a home or space that finally works for you, just to find out there’s already a handful of other applicants that got to it first. Unfortunately, there’s not much I can personally do about that, but what I can do is help you fight for whatever it is you want. If owning your own home is a goal of yours, then let’s redirect our efforts and make that happen for you. At least if you do, in the end, it’s your mortgage you’re paying, not someone else's. Either way, I am on your side and want to find you a place of your own, just as bad as you want it. I pour my everything into helping families. That’s just who I am; I’m a fixer. That’s why I became a real estate agent in the first place.
